Komodo Dragon Island

Komodo Island is an island located in the Nusa Tenggara Islands. Komodo Island is known as a habitat for this native animal. This island is also the Komodo National Park which is managed by the Central Government.

Travelers can find red sand beaches, vast savannah that seem barren and arid, limited water resources plus the hot temperatures and dry, open field overgrown with palm trees with mountains in the background, and its inhabitants are a flock of giant lizards. This all can not be found anywhere else in the world.

The island is inhabited by about 1,500 Komodo dragons
Although the movement is slow and lazy, these animals can suddenly aggressive and fast moving. Komodo has a keen sense of smell and can become aggressive if smell blood. But Komodo dragons are usually afraid of being bullied by two forked sticks. Their food is meat (goat, cow, etc.).
